Subsequent to my above message, I checked other sites and found I had a problem that didn't relate to Phun alone (I usually check this first)! For once it appears that my ISP was having throughput problems last night and my broadband download speed had dropped to about half a meg, down from my usual 6 mbps! Sorry!

I gonna try to find out if it's possible to add a server, which would be only used for registered users, but I doubt it's possible...

The forums seem to be slowest between 11:00 am until 4:00 pm Pacific Time US (my time zone). Is there a correlation between users and user origin here? What I mean to say is, is there heavier traffic from Europe, or the US or Australia or wherever during that particular time period, and if so, do those locales (and their ISP's) individualy create an overwhelming bearing on the servers that doesn't otherwise relate to the same amount of traffic from a comparable origin?

I agree! I haven't been screaming at my screen as much in the last day or so! Is this the calm before the storm? ;)

I don't want to tempt fate, but things have seemed better recently! Perhaps I've dodged the rainclouds!

no browser-issue. checked with IE and FF.

right now it´s slow again (2500 online), same as various times the last few days.

an offline external-ad-server may cause problems when "everything else is waiting", but i doubt it´s the only reason, if ever.
