  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Phun Personal Conduct Guidelines
    ________________________________________________

Phun.org is a forum for adults, and our members should not have to put up with immature behaviour and language!
Those who exhibit childish characteristics should not be surprised if their membership is thrown into question.
Contact with other phunners is where you can prove yourself a reasonable human being!
Where you can show that you appreciate the value of good manners and respect for others, and practice these principles on a day-to-day basis!
Where, without fear of ridicule, you may aspire to the virtues of tolerance, patience, magnanimity and restraint, but also remain aware that to err is human - and that means you too!

What we expect of our members...

    Courtesy & Consideration

Phun prides itself on having some of the best and most prolific content providers on the internet, and they do it for free! When you consider how much time and effort these generous individuals put into making phun the great forum it is, offering your praise and kudos for their tireless contributions is simply a no-brainer. Whether or not you like everything that you see, the fact that it's there at all should be justification enough. So give credit where credit is due to our deserving contributors, and they may contribute more!

However, by all means show your appreciation for their efforts, but do so thoughtfully and sincerely, and please avoid indulging in too many banal and junk posts of, "Wow!", "Great!", "Hot!", "Thanks!", "Nice!", "Sweet!", "Sexy!", etc., when clicking the 'Like' button would suffice. Multiple examples or series of such posts invite being treated as postcount-boosting or a form of spamming, both deemed to be bad manners!

Leave threads older than 2 weeks alone unless you have new content to add. Don't "bump" old threads just to say a few words of appreciation - that's what the 'Like' button is for. And if for some reason the content has been deleted, don't make a public request for re-ups! That's just tacky. Send a PM to the original poster. If you're polite about it, perhaps they'll share again!

And one other thing; don't be one of those people who bumps their own threads out of blatant self-promotion. (We hate that!) If you haven't got anything new to share, so be it.

    Good Neighbors

They say good fences make for good neighbors, but there are no fences at phun. This place is a big ol' block party, as it should be! We like to see folks mingling and having a good time, noobs and old-timers alike. To that end, if you are a long-standing member, lead by example and assist the newer members in getting to know the neighbourhood. It's good for your karma and you will be helping the forum thrive and grow.

Show us what you're made of and act with integrity. Don't deceive with irritatingly ambiguous or downright misleading thread titles that don't deliver what they promise. DO NOT SHOUT!!! (See how annoying that is?) If you have something important to say, others will pick up on it if it matters to them. Remember also that even though this is an English language forum, not everyone here speaks English as a first language, so be patient with those for whom clarity may pose a challenge. Offer guidance and support to those in need. And if you don't have anything decent to say about some other member, or simply wish to be patronising, it's best to say nothing at all. Don't be the village idiot who takes the fun out of phun! And don't forget, it's better to remain silent and be considered a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt!

    Lending a hand

Like anyone else, Mods and Admins have only so much time everyday they can set aside to enjoy phun, and much of that time is devoted to housekeeping. You know, keeping the place free of junk and making certain everything is neat and tidy? It's a surprising amount of work at times so you can't blame us if we miss a thing or two as we ramble about the place. That's why we greatly appreciate it when our members help moderate the various forums and contribute to the smooth running of phun.org, reporting any discovered problems by posting in the "Forum Issues" thread, or by using the 'Report' button at the bottom of each post. Your interest in recently posted content and how it conforms to the processes and policies of phun is greatly appreciated!

    What's in a name?

Referring to models and celebrities as sluts, whores, bitches, slags, etc., is considered unwarranted and unacceptable vilification. Some of the girls do actually look around sites like ours! There's no call for it, it's ignorant and devalues the forum. Phun is not a free fire zone where anything goes. The owner, staff and vast majority of members take pride in being associated with phun.org because we have proven integrity. Crude and crass comments posted for the sake of shock value have no place here (See also: Trolling). So avoid using terms that might be considered disparaging, hurtful or slanderous/libellous in any sense, whether you're referring to models, celebrities or fellow members. In particular, derogatory racial, sexist, religious or nationalistic slang terms and phrases are likely to cause offence, even if used out of ignorance rather than malice, and are consequently prohibited.

    Kramer vs Kramer!

Opinions can differ widely, even when it simply comes to objects of affection, to say nothing about Religion or Politics, etc. This being a universal truth, no opinion concerning a subject featured on this forum takes precedence over a contrary or differing opinion, no matter which opinion is in the majority. Disagreement is fine - it's unrealistic to believe everyone will share the same views. That said, defending the honor of someone you've never met anywhere other than in your fantasies, will not be considered a viable excuse for attacking the character of someone you disagree with. Conversely, defending yourself by pointing out in a belligerent manner that your adversary is delusional, stupid or worse, won't fly either. Keep it civil folks. Opinions are like assholes - everybody has one, and the latter have plenty of the former! Attack the opinions/ideas, not the person who delivers them!

    Flaming

While we accept good-natured name calling, teasing, ribbing, jokes, and occasional heated arguments in the forums, we will not tolerate slagging matches, or gratuitous racial and religious insults. Such posts will be deleted on sight and moderated accordingly. If you flame a Moderator or Admin immediate account suspension will ensue.

    Trolling

Intentionally trying to start arguments or provoke discord among members because you get a kick out of it will only get you kicked off the forum. Everyone knows a troll when they see one, no one likes them and the Staff has developed a low tolerance for them. Trolls suck.

    Spamming

This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion. Spamming can take several forms, some acceptable or at least tolerated, some not.
Furthermore, if a member places an [NS] tag (NS = No Spam) in their thread title, that is an indication that you should avoid off-topic rambles or asides, and keep input viable and relevant.

    Mind Your Language

Keep your perverse comments to yourself - we don't wish to know about your weird sexual proclivities! While expressing carnal interest is not entirely out of the question, you should mind your manners and temper your comments with tact and civility appropriate to the content. Phun Staff have no interest in playing moral arbiter, but whether your preference on the forum is pornographic or non-pornographic in nature, be fully aware that Mods and Admins will be applying relevant standards. Commentary that may be acceptable in the Adult Content sections of the forum may be deemed entirely inappropriate in the non-pornographic sections, especially in threads that include images where children and teens may be present. In such cases, sexual innuendo of a graphic nature will be looked upon and addressed with dire prejudice. In particular: Anybody making salacious, suggestive or sexually explicit remarks about children under the age of 18 will receive an instant suspension! You have been warned! So THINK before you post, and be conscientious of other people's personal values.

    So Welcome to Phun!

You'll have realised by this point that, like any community, ours has standards. Our contributors provide our members with the finest content on the internet, and we like to think of this forum as the best on the web. We see diversity as an asset, tolerance a mandate and lively interaction a virtue. These values define the character of our community, and our pride of place in it. A community we want you to enjoy to it's fullest. So prowl the forums, explore their mysteries, post your unique insights and perspectives, and become a power contributor!

Thanks for taking the time to read the serious bits.

Now go out and enjoy yourself, because at the end of the day that's what Phun is all about!

    Just bear in mind :-

Rule 1 : Moderators and Admins are always right.
Rule 2 : In the unlikely event of it appearing that a Mod/Admin might be wrong, please refer to Rule 1!
That's called the getting of wisdom! :)
