After 7 years of yapping about it, the GOP finally attempted their version of healthcare (three versions of the bill. Each worse than the previous version) and they couldn't get enough votes to pass their bill in a government they control.
The worst part is there are Republicans that didn't vote for this bill because it wasn't cruel enough to the patients that need it.
Now it's time to work in a bipartisan way to improve healthcare in the USA. Ya suppose Paul Ryan will meet with Bernie Sanders?

Considering the bill was written by Ryan's paymasters in the healthcare industry I doubt they'll let Ryan meet with anyone. They had 7 years to come up with something and what do we get? Something shorter than a college thesis, with 10% devoted to lottery winners.

To show how disconnected this oligarchy is, besides the all white male meeting with the "Freedom Caucus", which got Trump nowhere, they were stupid enough to discuss removing essential benefits for those in the marketplace such as:
    • Outpatient care
    • Emergency room trips
    • In-hospital care
    • Pregnancy, maternity and newborn care
    • Mental health and substance abuse disorder services
    • Prescription drugs
    • Rehabilitative services and habilitative services.
    • Lab tests
    • Preventive services
    • Pediatric services
Women should really appreciate their care and concern...

The puzzling thing is why didn't the republicans spend some time to work on a alternative to the Affordable Care Act - instead of complaining - during those seven years?

Part of is I think they were surprised a Republican, let alone Trump would win the election. The other part was waiting for their buds in the Health Care industry to give them their wish list and a big bag of money.

This proves one thing. Trump is now President Dunsel, he's only good for a rubber stamp on things the whole Republican party can agree upon. If he with Ryan couldn't make the Tea Par...uh I mean Freedom Caucus.. and moderates do what they want, then he's an embarrassing empty suit that unfortunately is the Golfe...I mean Commander In Chief. So maybe he can get us into a war with China or somewhere else considering how much he and his crony appointee are gutting the State Department.

I've read from multiple sources that many within the Republican party on the hill are amazed at how clueless Trump is on how things are done. Ryan had to convince him to not push a vote after his ultimatum / bluff from Thursday evening failed. Actually the negotiations with the Free Tea caucus, trying to throw out essential benefits from Obamacare recipients, actually lost them more moderates. Ryan convinced Trump to let him pull the bill because of the damage of a failed vote could do to those in swing districts. The Teadom Caucus doesn't care because most of them are very secure in their districts....

By now most of the Democrats have probably read The Art of the Deal, because I heard that the whole ultimatum, walk away, blame someone else is part of the strategy noted in the book.

Let see how much longer he can try to stall the hearings and investigations into connections to Russia...hopefully they fine something fatal to his entire election.

I have to just say that managing this country should not be that difficult. It just involves tossing out politics and business. Once those things are gone then you can work on fixing the issues without any hindrance from anything.
What's the purpose of the healthcare bill? Finding a way to get people covered with medical insurance! Now how does giving tax cuts to CEOs help pay for somebody's medical coverage? It doesn't. It's the politicians heeding the will of the corporations that is ruining this country.
I honestly think Paul Ryan KNOWS it's right to help a person with medical bills rather than divert the money to industry CEO's but instead of doing what he knows is right he plays to big corporate bosses.

Flynn likely asked for that to encourage Trump to buy his silence with a pardon for possible crimes like Ford gave to Nixon. Just about every aspect of the White House handling of this controversy stinks of attempted cover up.

Trump and his minions have no respect for anyone who doesn't agreement with them. This administration is already guaranteed to go down as the most undignified ever and is on track to become the worst of all time.

He's going to be amazed a lot. Obama sat 326 Federal judges during his 8 years. The 9th Circuit just slapped it down first, there were plenty of other courts lined up to take a wack. Maybe Sessions should read the Constitution... Maybe Sessions should refer to Hawaii as a State, not "a island in the Pacific".

Saw a great response on Twitter to that; someone should remind Sessions that New Mexico is also a state, in case they get confused and try building the wall on the wrong side. :D

Hey, who doesn't love a snap General Election in the middle of everything? ;)

Fairly obvious tactical move, really; eviscerates Labour, anyone taking any seats off the SNP shuts Wee Krankie down (and they lost their overall majority in Holyrood last go around, so that's not beyond the realm), Lib Dems....yeah, okay, and all those UKIP voters are likely to come home to Mama now that the Article 50 is done and we are on our way.

Comrade Corbyn started out with privatising some (read all) the rail companies, more money for the NHS and social care, and a £10 per hour minimum wage. It's £7.50 now. So, when telling people this, I tagged it with `and a partridge in a pear tree for every family.`

Now he'll bring in four new Bank Holidays, one for each of the four patron saints of the four nations.

And after that, seven swans a-swimming for every family!!! You can get them off the Queen after I abolish the Monarchy.....Oh, wait; did I say that out loud? ;)

Corbyn's Labour reminds me of the old Lib Dems; they'd promise the world to people proudly (50% tax rate, legalise marijuana, free hedgehogs) because they knew damn well they wouldn't actually have to deliver.

Oh, man, I read that AP interview. Like three times. And I'm still horrified.

And I didn't think it could be worse. `Highest ratings since the World Trade Center came down.` o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O
