The thing is, when you ask them a direct question (the pro gun people) they ignore it completely and continue on with their own tirade. I just get the feeling that they aren't interested in solving the problem, that they would rather have their right to guns over other peoples rights to life.

It was very interesting to read the criteria for gun ownership here. It actually makes me feel far more secure than owning a gun itself.

I tip my hat to your calm and intelligent manner in the gun control thread. You're the voice of reason in there.
