  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Oh I don't know. Perhaps she was speaking of herself in retort to your ageist insult.

After reading "Eating Animals" I wished I could become a vegetarian. But I just can't.

My sister (she's 59) was telling me that she hates the term "senior moment" when used as a jibe to explain away a moment of forgetfulness by the younger crowd. She said to me, "better to have a senior moment than a junior moment (when someone younger than you looks at you stupidly because they have no idea what you're talking about). I mean, I'd rather have known something and forgotten than to be ignorant in the first place and know nothing at all."

She's a college professor by the way.

    Well, with LSD.... :shifty:
Which is why I'll never read that book.
I used to go deer and elk hunting annually with family and friends in Colorado for many years. There was no "sick joy" to it. In fact the vast majority of sportsmen and women are damn serious about it. And only a fool - and largely unsuccessful - hunter has no respect for their quarry.

It's only a tiny fringe of sick fucks that give hunting it's bad name.

All that's edible. But every part of an animal has it's uses so there are businesses that will purchase hides, horns, bones, offal, sinew, etc. We went into the wilderness on horseback so we could pack out as much of an animal as possible. A lot of hunters will at the very least leave behind the guts, but that's okay. Makes a great meal for a bear or fox or wolf or whatever, even birds. Nature recycles thoroughly and completely. I've spent more than my fair share of time in the woods over the years and I've never see even so much as a bone from an animal that died in nature. It's extremely rare.
    Quite. :yup:

Basics really. Canned veggies - corn, beans - and some soups, some bags of egg noodles. Spaghetti. Boneless chicken thighs, some frozen meatballs (they cook up surprisingly good), rice, breakfast cereal.
