Any chance you can use your Chicago superpowers to get the Western Ave. Flukey's reopened? I really miss that place...

Could always have a couple of pints at the Abby and then have a few sliders at the White Castle down the Elston at Addison.

LOL! Could do. The thing is, the sliders kinda get away from me. I never know how many of the lil' buggers I can poke down and always end up waddlin' my keyster out the White Castle doors about half sick. Better to hit the Abbey first, then sober up at the Golden Nugget on Irving Park.

The Nugget is definitely a go to when I'm north of Fullerton. I used to hang out at Friar Tucks (on Broadway new Belmont) when I lived on the Outter Drive but now pretty much stick at The Lodge in Division because it's close to my condo.

Never stopped in there. I usually pass though the Clark/Illinois area on the way to other places. You got me curious, though.

It's an old, converted fire house. In the summer they open the still intact garage door and move tables onto the sidewalk. New Years eve parties there were the best. I don't know if they still do it, but they used to have a drink special on New Years eve. You could pay like thirty bucks up front after 7pm and drink until closing for free...any kinda drinks you wanted. The clientele were a real cross section of the city. It's best if you take a friend, or two to watch your back...but that's kinda standard for every city bar, isn't it??? LOL!!!

Yeah... Sounds like fun. That's what I like about my current hangout. Get in the VIP section before 4am and can drink till all night long - literally.

My hangout is featured in the Reader as one of Chicago's best bars!
