What's better for Phun ridiculing this guy so he doesn't feel like posting here at all or maybe pointing out the forums rules and etiquette so he does a better job in the future?
And believe me post count has nothing to do with shitty threads as I've trashed quite a few from plenty of members with all sorts colored usernames over the years.![]()
I see, we can't 'ridicule' someone who's been a member for 7 YEARS and presumably should know the friggin rules whether he posts regularly or not but we SHOULD point said rules and conventions out to him. Jesus Henry Christ on a crutch.
It's all moot anyway, the rearguard action to keep Phun... you know, actually FUN has been lost.
Cayne should change the name to Not-Phun and be done with it.
There are tons of people with high post counts who don't contribute anything.....so the post count really doesn't stand for much in that respect.
As far as this thread goes.....he asked politely for help, even if he didn't provide facts.....if you can't help him simply move along.....or better yet instruct him...... spamming the thread and tricking people into clicking MeatSpin links is just plain silly and makes us all (Phunners) look bad as a community.

I just asked a question of which is better for Phun, wasn't telling you what you should or shouldn't do. But I realize this really isn't about this guys poor thread choice or any of the other similar threads that pop in here. If it were then these threads would have been reported here, click on it I dare you, or even a PM sent to one of us to have the thread trashed/closed and every long time member of this forum knows that. This is really about you guys feeling like you're not allowed to have some fun and I get that which is perfectly fine. It is possible to have a little fun with the guy and help him out at the same time and was done in this thread here.
Bottom line is we are just trying to make everyone regardless of their post count or how long they've been here want to come back and contribute here.
That's all I've really got to say.![]()

Got news for you guys, the 'ribbing' I got when I was a noob poster on here is what MADE me want to come back and stay, it's called cameraderie if you take it in the spirit of Phun. . Not everyone likes the little milquetoast "gee, let's all sit around the campfire and sing Kumbaya" style that seems to be taking over here at Phun. I'm guessing a lot of members who are left here used to get beat up on the playground and then run to the teacher a lot.
I find it funny you say this considering it is pretty much the point Jack and I have been trying to make. You just fail or don't care to see that not everyone likes the "lets get the noob who screwed up" style of posts that take over these threads sometimes.
Just trying to get you to see the other side of things as you seem to be stuck in the what works best for you way of thinking or maybe I'm just not communicating my point across well enough. Oh well I tried see no further point in trying to change your opinion.
Try and have fun even though you believe were telling you not to.![]()

to me the OP was simply reaching out to the COMMUNITY in an effort to tap into the knowledge base. Maybe he needed some direction/instruction but I don't think it was so bad that folks needed to flex their internet muscles.
let me point out the obvious: you sure spend a lot of time here for someone who thinks this place is not FUN anymore.
