Kaley Cuoco Gets Her Star on the 'Hollywood Walk of Fame' - 10/29/14

Aww, she got a little weepy. How adorable. She has become a household persona, so I guess she deserves the star.

 

I like Kaley, I really do, but holy shit it didn't take long for her to get a star, especially when so many other talented people work for decades to get recognized.

 

She's a real sweetheart!

 

One hit show when she was just starting out that was a hit not because of her + a hit show that is hit not because of her = a star on the Hall Of Fame

I think you guys are over thinking this star on the walk thing. It's not equivalent to an emmy or an oscar. If anything for her it's related to 20 years of continuous T.V. work.

 

This is getting ridiculous. It's like one of those things in grade school where everybody gets a freakin' trophy just for participating (the "you're ALL winners" mentality)

isnt this one of those things you can get just if you have the right Connections. Didnt it mean something earlier to get a star, i mean a recognision for a good deed done for television or Movies. Im not takeing away anything from Cuoco but there must be more deserving people out there.

 

I think these pretty much have to be bought- they are not simply "awarded" or given away. While there is a vetting process, I remember reading somewhere that there is a (reasonably hefty) charge to have one of these stars laid in the sidewalk, so someone has to pony up something like 30K for one of these (think of it as like the "perpetual care" fee in your local cemetery). Plus you have to show up, provided you are still alive at the time.

Now, we need to know who came up with 30K for Kaley's shindig.

Any one care to bet? Look who was right there on the podium, freshly-trimmed grey beard and all.

Exactly right. It's not really an award, you have to pay for it. Still kind of cool for her though.

 

Samson lost his strength when he had his hair cut and now Kaley has lost her looks when she had hers cut.

I just can't help myself on the face close-ups she looks like she had to fight Floyd Mayweather for 2-3 rounds. Damn.
