    The Amazing Spider-Man 8/10

It was much better than I thought it'd be which I was really happy about. I was worried it would pretty much be a rehash of Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man, but thankfully it's a completely different movie. The acting and action was really well done and it was very enjoyable.

    The Whistleblower(Biography/Drama/Crime)

Kathryn Bolkovac has been asking for transfer for quite some time at her precinct. She has lost her kids to their father and his new wife. They are planning to move from the area. Bolkovac nows that the kids are going through a rough time with the breakup and she wants to be near them. It isnt going as planned every credential and her resume is fine enough for a transfer but as her chief tells her there are simply no openeings available for a transfer. He shows her another option a private company working in post war Bosnia are looking for able men and women to be part of a crew to rebuild the law and order. It pays good money for a six month job so she is of to Bosnia. The language barrier is a problem but working in a group of americans and working closely with the UN seems to be working good at first. It doesnt take long for Kathryn to realise that there are secrets that important people dont want her to know about and that almost everyone is in on it.

Based on true events. Post war Bosnia, but as in incendies as i reviewed a few weeks back the war is simply a backdrop for the actual story. There are small indications here and there where you get small hints about the ethnic cleansing that were going on. The real story here is about the "whores of war" as one of the bad guys put it. Human trafficing where eastern european girls are brought in to entertain both diplomats and foreign workers. Bolkovac found out and brought a light on the situation but did we see any justice not really. The contracts that the companies signed with governments were to sweet. And most of the bad guys had diplomatic immunity so their actions couldnt see any courtjustice either. Again another movie plagued with a director of photography that has contracted parkinsons disease. I dont care if it is supposed to ad to the nerve hold the damn camera steady damnit. Good acting but everyone is just extras in the shadow of Rachel Weisz it would be nice if someone else showed something.

The storytelling was decent, but the action did not impress me.

Born on the 4th of July (Tom Cruse)

Never saw it in the theatre but it was in TV this week. For a film that received mucho Oscar nominations (with a few wins), I found it underwhelming. Had the feel of a TV movie instead of a feature film and Cruse's acting was pedestrian. Maybe it was Vietnam Vet guilt that led to those nominations.

    The Iron Lady ... 7/10

If you can set aside the simplification of the personalities and the politics, then you'll be pleased by the acting, dialogue, and plot.

    Its All Gone Pete Tong(Drama/Music/Comedy)

I guess you could say that anything goes in Ibiza. Its a island in the mediterranean ocean. Known for the intense clubscene and 24 hour lifestile. This movie centers around this scene. Frankie Wilde is a good DJ at that scene. Not only for the fact that his music is good and makes the people dance but he is also a showman that loves the stage and connect with the crowd. Off course its not all about the music for Frankie there is fucking the ladies, drinkin booze, and doing the drugs. If you want it Ibiza provides so to speak. He is married with a model has a son its probably not his kid since the model "has been around" everywhere. With a new album out things are all good for Frankie, but there is the slight problem with that high pitched noise in his ear that has started all of a sudden.

I have been trying to figure out if the movie is based on a real persons life or if its purely fictional im leaning towards the latter. A feverish nervy film with great music. As you know i hate the parkinson photographers but here it works in the favour of the film. It is supposed to be a shattered experience as it is based to be on hearsay from people around the clubscene. Fact is that few new to much about how Frankie handled his predicament. Paul Kaye is great for the role as Frankie. He shows both passion, fire and woulnerability when the scenes so require it from him. God knows it isnt an easy role to do. It isnt a flawless film but it works within its segment. The thick dialect that Frankie has probably needs some of you to get subtitles. Well i loved it even if it is a bit limited.

    6.5/10

the title is slang for "it's all gone a bit wrong". FYI.
