aka mukluks.

they are homemade shoes. my Mom made me these a few years ago. they are very warm and made out of sealskin. my lil Brother harvested this seal years ago and my Mom made these in a couple of days. they are great for the winter and very light.

Does "harvested" mean killed? or something else? I'm not a tree huger or animal nut, just asking.

I've always been confused by the term harvested when it comes to animals, its too impesonal, i always say you harvest crops and slaughter animals. hence the phrase "lambs to the slaughter"

Pretty sure Inuk people call it "harvest" because they eat everything they kill - so it's no different than harvesting crops.

yes it's harvested because we do eat the animal. nothing is wasted.

I love Kamiks too.

Batman kamiks are my favourite.

They are much better than Superman kamiks or Spiderman kamiks

I have a pair of wolf mitts too. they are super warm, have used them in -45C/-49F temperatures and I didn't even feel the cold. they were a little tight around the cuffs with my parka so my Mom put some wolverine skin and made them larger. feel much better.

I did send a pair of sealskin kamiks to one of my friends in Vermont. I had to pack them airtight to smuggle them across the border as sealskin isn't allowed in the States.

size 9 shoes and medium for the gloves.
