Pacific Rim - Guillermo del Toro directs Idris Elba, Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) while giant robots and Kaiju kick the crap out of each other across various Asian and American cities. If you aren't fired up to see this in IMAX 3D, you should ask your physician about testosterone replacement therapy.

Top Five most annoying things in video games

1 Fighting games that only cater for people who want to learn tons of combo's.
2 Driving games that punish you by allowing other cars to pass by you after you drive a near flawless level and then make one mistake, sending you back to 9th position only yards from the end.
3 No learning facility for the game. If you are stuck on a level, section, boss and it is your twentieth try at beating him and you've logged hours trying to beat it and you can't, maybe the game should drop the difficulty level a tough in order that you can actually play the whole game. Not everyone is a 13 year old kid who spends ten hours a day playing games. I can't tell you the amount of games I've given up on because I can't pass a certain point, or now many more I have only ever fluked passing a point only to never be able to do it again. If I spend forty notes on a game, I want to be able to play it all.
4 Cut scenes you can't skip. Okay the first time but On my third playthrough of Infamous 2 and I really don't want to watch them any more.
5 Bosses who regenerate. First saw it in FFVII and it was the sole reason why a boss battle that should have lasted 20 minutes took two hours.


And two runners up....

All escort missions. Remember Ashkey in RE 4? In the rock corridor with the El Gigante and she just stand there while you try to kill it and she gets killed even with you firing at this huge screaming monster coming towards her. Fucking annoying as hell.

DLC. I don't mind paying a little for a costume pack if I really like the game, or even a little more for extra missions, but asking me to pay serious money for content that used to just be part of a game is getting beyond it. I ge the feeling that game houses want to release shell games and have people pay through the nose for tons of DLC. The sooner people stop paying for this shit the sooner it will go back to being in the original release and they can stop fleecing us.

Oh, and another, long tutorials. I started little big planet 2 and spent over an hour being slowly guided through a bunch of fucking brainless tutorials that a halfwit could have figured out. I get that it was for kids but they should maybe have an option that says "I'm not a kid, I get how to play fucking games" at the start.

FFVII was perfect for it. Every now and then you met someone who would offer to teach you everything in their field and you could choose what they taught you and for how long. If you wanted to walk away you could, if you already knew how to do one thing on the list you could ignore it, if you only needed the basic idea you could skip it.
