I've enjoyed 'em too, including the tactical battle last night. I personally think teams show Spain a little too much respect though. Every team pretty much has to adapt their game to cope with the superior possession they always have, but most teams adapt in a negative, containing and defensive way. However, Italy, and Portugal to an extent, showed that if you play positively against them they look vulnerable and beatable. My fear is that if the Germans (who are the team most equipped to damage them) do make the final they'll be a bit too cautious, as they were the last time the two met.Originally Posted by Big Bamboo!
Overall I have enjoyed the euros ... I didn't mind the game last night because it was more about tactics and formations..
It's easy for people to critique but when you enjoy standing on the sideline of a Sydenhams preimer league match with 250 people at grass roots level in the rain watching a 0-0 then I guess it makes me a bit of a footy nut.
