http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...-on-Lucas-dealSky Sports understands Manchester United are poised to win the race for Brazilian winger Lucas Moura.
United have been chasing the Sao Paulo winger all summer and have already seen one bid rejected for the 19-year-old.
The likes of Inter Milan, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid have all been credited with an interest in Moura, but it appears United are in pole position to land the highly-rated starlet.
A fee is believed to have been agreed between United and Sao Paulo and the Old Trafford outfit have been given the green light to hold talks with the player.
Sir Alex Ferguson remained behind from United's pre-season trip to Norway for Sunday's friendly with Valerenga with the reason for his absence thought to be to push through a deal for Moura.
Should United clinch the signing it would be a massive boost for Ferguson as the wide-man is regarded as one of the brightest young talents to emerge from Brazil in recent years.
Moura is currently on Olympics duty with Brazil and is expected to feature for Brazil in their semi-final against South Korea at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Liverpool could sell Daniel Agger, says Brendan Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers has conceded Liverpool may be forced to sell Daniel Agger should Manchester City match their valuation of the player.
The Liverpool manager admitted Agger, 27, was not certain to stay at Anfield for the coming season despite his desire to keep the Denmark defender.
"Every player has a price," Rodgers said. "But no manager wants to lose his best players."

Five-times world champions Brazil, who do not have to qualify for the 2014 World Cup as hosts, continued their fall and have reached a record low of 13th.
The decline is due to the fact that they have played fewer top-level matches in 2012 than some of the other leading nations, and despite reaching the final at London 2012, their ranking will not receive a major boost in September as the Olympics is not a points-scoring competition.
