Given the sticky financial situations a lot of clubs find themselves in these days, I think a maximum possible wage should be introduced. It will never happen though.

Even if they did introduce a salary cap the big clubs would just get around it by giving the players cars, houses and the like.

If by some miracle Fifa cracked down on that they would simply pay the players parents 100k as some kind of consultants.

And wages is only the half of it, if you include endorsements and bonuses I reckon Ronaldo can't be far off earning 500k a week.

Good point, there really is no way to stop it. Plenty of clubs already lure youngsters to their team by buying them houses and things. I think I read somewhere that they reckon Ronaldo could become the first billionaire footballer.
