South Africa wicketkeeper Mark Boucher is a doubt for the Test series against England after suffering a serious eye injury.

The 35-year-old was struck by a bail while standing up to the stumps on day one of the tour match with Somerset.

He underwent surgery on a lacerated eyeball at 19:00 BST on Monday.

"It is a significant injury. I don't think he will be ready for the first Test, if the series," said South Africa team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee

India and Pakistan will resume bilateral ties with a "short series", comprising three ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals, in December and January. The matches, which are likely to be held between the Test and one-day legs of England's tour of India, will form the first bilateral series between the two sides since Pakistan toured India in end-2007.

The decision was taken by the BCCI at its working committee meeting on Monday. Rajiv Shukla, a senior BCCI official, said the plan was to hold the three ODIs in Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata, and the Twenty20 matches in Ahmedabad and Bangalore.

Hashim Amla scores a triple century score, 300+.
Not only does he becomes the highest South African scorer
but also the only South African to score a triple century.
In the same innings two other team mates scored centuries.

England at the moment on 4th day trail by 163 runs with only
6 wickets in hand and South Africa still to bat.

    Backs against the proverbial wall?
    Thanks, AFX!

I'm watching a t20 match (between Sussex and Gloucestershire) and Scott Styris hit 38 from one over. Was fun to watch.

Kevin Pietersen has been dropped for England's third Test against South Africa over reports he sent derogatory text messages about his team-mates.

On Saturday, Pietersen removed his threat to retire but the England and Wales Cricket Board wanted confirmation he had not texted Proteas players.

"This has not been forthcoming despite timelines being set," said England cricket managing director Hugh Morris.
