    I'm not big on predicting scores, but I have at least both teams here scoring at least 21 points, and Green Bay eventually overcoming the Bears when all is said and done.

    I think the Bears defense is going to be way better than last year and it will surprise people.

    Here's a good (yet premature) look at the playoffs: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...urn=nfl,188329

    Agree, disagree... who are your upsets, and division winners, and which teams have no shot to win more than 4 games this year?

    You base this on what?

    I'm a Bears fan, but there is good reason to be concerned about their D. I worry Rodgers may rip us to shreds Sunday night.

    I don't think that at all. Bears defense is always good, but what probably surprised more people is how "average" they were last year. This upcoming season, though, while I think they struggle at first, I think they normalize and return back to top-ten form again.

    The Bears' reputation or aura will always be as a defensive team. Monsters of the Midway and all that. But they have had plenty of bad defensive teams. If they somehow can rise to the occasion and have a good or just decent D this year, they may well represent the NFC in the SB.

    Default My team(s):

    1a Washington Redskins
    1b Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    (both of the above are my "home town" teams)

    I also root and cry over the teams of:
    San Diego Chargers
    Arizona Cardinals

    For what I'm predicting for this season, I think three of the above teams have a realistic shot at making the playoffs, two as division winners, and the third as a wildcard. I'm sorry, Tampa Bay, but I think you are too early in your new regime to contend viably anymore.

    Is that your official Super Bowl prediction? The Bears represent the NFC? It's amazing the home town sway the North division has, as many "analysts" are predicting that any one of the North teams can make an appearance in the SB this year, yet they fail to explain exactly how and why they can achieve this. I think only one NFC North team makes it the playoffs this year, and it's the only team in that division that doesn't have a new starting quarterback.
