I've only ever seen her in Sin City, which I loved. Particularly her almost OTT line "you goddamned bastard". She was great.

 

One of her best shoots for me.

She starred in films such as Just Married, Clueless, Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile, Sin City, The Dead Girl, Uptown Girls, Riding in Cars with Boys and Spun.

 

I saw Clueless,8mile and Sin City...so sad she's gone.

Actress Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into cardiac arrest and couldn't be revived, reports TMZ.

The Fire Department reportedly received a call at 8:00AM from the home that belonged to her husband, Simon Monjack. She was discovered unconscious in the shower at around 8am by her mother. They immediately took her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where they pronounced her dead upon arrival.

"In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy," Brittany's rep Nicole Perna said in a statement to Hollyscoop.

Los Angeles' county coroner also confirmed: "We do have a preliminary death report of a Brittany Murphy" coming from Cedars-Sinai."

Shortly after her death, her ex boyfriend Ashton Kutcher paid tribute to her via his Twitter page. He tweeted: "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany's family, her husband, and her amazing mother Sharon. See you on the other side kid. (sic)"

She was only 32 years old. Murphy stared in such films as "Clueless " and "8 Mile." Such a tragic loss! Our condolences go out to her family.

Think of the career and life she could have had. Used to read tidbits that her husband is a pretty shady tool too. Sad.
