well, there have been cases of cars that just take off before, so that could have been the case this time too. and that is the way that the carmanufacturers want it, nothing that you do in a car have anything to do with what's happening under the hood.

brakes might not work, those are computer controlled also (remember the ABS) and using the handbrake at that speed, not gonna get pretty, especially if the driver ain't a pro.. which 99.9999% of all drivers ain't
