    The render is not blending at all with the background in the first one. It's a shame, because the background is awesome.

    I 100% agree with TNG

    1) Beautiful background effects, absolutely stunning in that regard. But the render just looks stuck on the front, there's no depth involved, but there's a few ways that this could have been avoided. Either a bright light source could have been placed behind the render and some of the light could be added to the edges of the render. Or get your smudge brushes out and blend it in on the unfocused side! Regardless a damn great effort!

    2) I can't really complain about this one, the background effects just work fantastic and that big yellow area accents everything REALLY well. I'm usually a guy to hate on a sig for not having a border, and I guess I still feel that way with this sig, but the rest is so awesome that it really makes up for it.

    Great work both, wow this round has been awesome thus far! :thumbs:

    voted #1. definitely needs some blending with the background to avoid a drag-and-drop look, but #2 just looks to empty with all the white space, especially with no border

    1. great background, poor character cleanup.

    2. excellent clean up, cool, creative background, but since you did it yourself, why not give it an outside boundry to keep it from looking unfinished borderwise? If you had brought the rays to a close where we could see them they would have formed a border on their own which would have made it a slam dunk.

    I went #2. It really needs a border but other than that it's nicely layered.

    #1 was cool too, just wish the render was behind the border, and maybe blur the right hand side of her a little bit to give depth.
