A watershed moment for 3D cinema? Where it stops being a gimmick, and we get to see what a proper cinematic master can do with it as a storytelling tool?

I agree, it looks like a straight-up remake.

Let's hope. If I could pick one director to make a movie in 3D, I think it would be Ang Lee.

Another rehash of the first... At least, the Bloody Mary part at the end got my interest.

Haywire looks cool. Strong cast and you can't beat hot girls kicking ass.

    Default Kill List

A real buzz building about this film, from advance word of mouth. Reece Shearsmith called it one of the most disturbing things he'd ever seen. That from the guy responsible for Psychoville!

yeah, it just comes across as completely pointless to me. it actually looks quite good, and i think they've captured the right sort of style and feel to make it work with the original, but it does just look like it's telling the exact same story, not a prequel. disappointing really. and it turned out a lot more american than i thought it would. one of the first things i heard about it last year was that it was a norwegian film with norwegian stars and director. i thought that could have worked in it's favour but it ultimately looks like any old modern remake/reimagining.

Haywire looks interesting. a sort of more mature and better produced version of a typical action blockbuster. the whole "our nations finest weapon..." didn't really sit well with me to begin with, but i've seen plenty of good films with awful trailers.

Kill List is creating a massive buzz amongst all the right people (i.e. film critics / directors / actors etc, whose opinion I respect) who have seen early screenings. It gets its UK premiere at Frightfest next month: http://www.frightfest.co.uk/2011films/killlist.html

Super 8 is without question my most anticipated summer blockbuster. As a child of the 80s films that have inspired it (basically the likes of Spielberg, Joe Dante, Fred Dekker etc), it just looks like such a nostalgic throwback to those great genre films I grew up with, and I've literally been going out of my way to avoid reading any reviews of it, as annoyingly unlike most other major summer releases it opened in the States weeks before it will do here.
