I actually just watched them last night thanks to youtube. I think only the second one is any good.

The better version without the younger Anikan. If he really wanted to change that and make it ok he should have shown the younger versions of all the characters.

the argument for the younger version of Anakin is because that's how he was before he went to the dark side. When Luke brought him back to the light side at the end, his spirit reverted back to how he was. That's why Obi-Wan and Yoda didn't change because neither of them went to the dark side.

It was definitely a controversial move, and I actually like the new one because I like the concept behind it.
