This one isn't like the other 2 in the trilogy though, it's considerably worse.
And i wouldn't call it a batman film.
There was no darkness to it. All day time, all Wayne/b-man getting beaten up our crying, terrible disappointment.
fair enough...I disagree and all, but at the same time I can see where you're coming from

would you guys say this was worse than 'Batman & Robin'?

    slap slap slapslapslapslapslap ad infitum.....

Never EVER suggest or even mention that steaming pile of snail jism.

Now he may actually pay $$ for a copy of it and encourage anyone to ever ever ever do anything like it again.

fer fucks sake Bats and BugWonder had nipples on their suits, yet Batgurl was Barbie slick. My god man.. there were neon lights on the machine guns.

-8 points on comic book geek status for bringing that travesty back from the cesspit it was consigned to.

    Thanks helium

Was there enough Batman in The Dark Knight? Was there enough Batman in Batman Returns?

I won't spoil anything yet (because we DIDN'T) but in my opinion, TDKR is a little better than The Dark Knight thanks to all comics references. Except for the characters in The Dark Knight (especially Salvatore Maroni), I didn't see a lot from the comics in that so-called "best movie ever". :P Btw, the Joker isn't the only Batman villain and this always make me laugh when critics are unable of explaining what Bane really did.

Batman should always win? No! He can lose. And there can be "darkness" at daytime. After all, if you read the comics, you can see him losing.

Really? Shit sid? I'm a massive batman fan and I thought it was quite a let down but on pretty much all levels I can't see it being shit from any direction. I mean, acting, direction, script, editing, sfx, score, themes, plot... all worked great, even if it wasn't anywhere near i would have taken it. Can you really call it shit? I reserve shit for things like scary movie. Things that are really good but don't live up to my expectations, i call those inception like movies. I can see they are good films, i can see why people like them and i know they aren't shit. But i just don't like them.

I am not I suppose what is considered a "Batman Fan", as I was never really interested in anything related to DC comics in my youth, I'm a Marvel man & back then there was a distinct difference. My Batman memories consist of re-runs of the Adam West show, SuperFriends cartoons & the Scooby Doo episode feat. him & Robin. I've seen most of the previous cinematic versions & have never been too impressed.

That being said, the Nolan Batman films & the characters sparked my interest, & made me a fan. These are great films even if they were to be removed from the so-called 'Batman Universe'. They are fucking fun, interesting & stand up to repeated watches in my opinion. Great acting in some cases (Ledger's Joker? come the fuck on that shit is iconic no matter what)

I went in to TDKR expecting to be disappointed as I figured they'd phone it in for the ending but was pleasantly surprised... great movie, great characters, great performances, great ending. (also... BANE IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!)

Personally I loved it, as I've loved the entire trilogy.

I've never felt ripped off by these movies. & that's rare these days. But as I said in the beginning, I'm not a Batman fan... so what do I know?

As you already know, Blu-Ray/DVD is coming very soon! In fact, The Dark Knight Rises will be ours this Dec. 4th (North America)! Personally, I won't buy it... because of THIS!

I don't have Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray. This is a hell of a gift! There will be a Limited Collector's Edition of the Trilogy... scheduled for Q3 2013! But I can't wait so I'll sure get the first box-set. Special Features on The Dark Knight Rises will contain the Batmobile documentary, IMAX scenes for sure, details about Batman vs. Bane and a lot more. I don't have all the details but... damn, three amazing movies in a special boxset including an artbook... that's the way to go!
