    I read somewhere a while back that Rose got into a bad car accident which did a lot of damage to her face. While it sucks she now looks 30 yrs older, I think we're lucky to have her back in movies again period.

    If you look at the third picture closely you can see the scar of face lifting or face reshaping surgery below her ear. I believe that she had a face lifting surgery.

    According to an article in the New York Post, McGowan suffered serious injuries in a car accident early in 2007. Riding as a passenger, her car was struck by another vehicle and the force of the impact drove her eyeglasses into her face. McGowan is quoted as saying, "I didn't realize I was hurt until I put my hand to my face and felt the flap of skin. My glasses had sliced me under my eye." After obtaining the services of a plastic surgeon, McGowan is reported to be suffering no long-lasting consequences from the incident.[24]
