Default Movies Movies Movies (Must Label Spoilers)

Why don't we have a general movie's discussion thread? I had a look and don't see one. The closest is the Last Movie You Saw thread.

I talk alot about film so I thought we might have a movie discussion thread. So i say use this to talk about any and all films.

    THE GOLDEN RULE
You can talk spoilers but you must start your post with the word spoiler followed by the film title you are about to talk about.

    EG: SPOILER - District 9

Do this for any posts where you are posting possible spoilers. If it is an ongoing conversation it is easy enough to simply copy and paste from the previous post.

The Rocketeer is an amazing movie and very underrated.

I had to start with that

Chasing Amy is one of the best movies ever.

I think I've seen the rocketeer thirty times and each time i struggle to comprehend how incredibly hot Miss Connelly is in that silk dress.

I always thought they'd make a sequel and use the character like an Indiana Jones type. I thought they would do the same with the Mummy and the sequel wouldn't be called the Mummy but something like "Rick O'Connel and the..." I would have preferred that to a rehash of the first film.

Has anyone seen the Richard Donner cut of Superman II? I am curious to see it and how different it is.

The ending to Chasing Amy has always angered me. Usually movies don't anger me, but Ben Affleck's character's logic involving him, Jason Lee, and Joey Adams is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. That guy was a damned idiot.

But I like the rest of the movie, especially when Silent Bob was telling his story.

Agreed on Miss Connelly I've always wished they'd do a sequel. At this point I'd even be happy with a reboot, just to see a new Rocketeer movie, even though it'd never surpass the original.

I own it, it's almost a completely different film. I think it's much better than the Lester version.

I saw it once when I was young. Haven't seen it since and have no plans to.

My dad has recently become a huge Jason Statham fan. He's nearly seventy and wants to be the transporter. Old fool

Chasing Amy is one of Smith's better movies although I think both Mallrats and Dogma are easier to watch and Clerks has more depth than any of them, which is odd considering it mostly takes place in one location.
I may not like Chasing Amy so much because of Ben Afleck, who I've never really liked as he always seemed a bit smarmy and pleased with himself for no particular reason.

So he wants to run around shooting guns, driving sports cars, blowing things up and shagging 20 year old models?

I'm gonna say that doesn't sound that foolish to me
