I would understand Bay deciding to not do exactly what we have already seen in movies or even the TV shows, as there be no point really. But to make them aliens is him being lazy, I say. As it be much harder to go with the darker tone originally set in the comics and/or to explore the dynamic between the turtles, Splinter and Shredder in new more darker ways.Originally Posted by firefly1984

Director Todd Phillips, who helmed the first two films and will return for the third, confirmed yesterday that the franchise would conclude with its third instalment.
He said in a statement: "I'm so excited to embark on another Hangover film with Bradley, Ed and Zach.
"We're going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions."
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis will all return for the third film, which is expected to begin production in September.
The combined box office success of the first two Hangover movies has made this a billion-dollar franchise.
The Hangover Part III is due for release in the US on May 24, 2013.
