“Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season – and then surpassed them,” said HBO boss Michael Lombardo. “We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.”

Justified Season Finale tonight!
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s11...show-exec.htmlFringe exec Joel Wyman has revealed that news on the show's future should emerge soon.
The showrunner confirmed on Twitter that the fate of the Fox sci-fi drama will be decided "this week".
"[We] should know something this week," he wrote. "Feeling good. All of your support and positive thoughts help."
Wyman, who executive produces the series alongside Jeff Pinker, added that Fringe will return for just 13 episodes if picked up by Fox.
However, he ruled out the possibility of a Fringe film, telling a fan: "No plans for a movie."
Series star Seth Gabel (Lincoln Lee) recently admitted that he feels frustrated about the show's uncertain future.
"It sucks that it's a possibility of it being the end," he said last month. "We all hate it. You look at the [audience] numbers and you can only imagine what Fox is feeling."
Fringe continues on Fridays at 9/8c on Fox. The show airs on Sky1 in the UK.

I sure hope to hell they renew it. Even if it is only for just 13 episodes. That way they'll have a solid 13 episodes to properly end the show.

THE WALKING DEAD Creator Robert Kirkman Adapting THIEF OF THIEVES for New AMC Drama Series
New York – April 16, 2012 – AMC announced today “Thief of Thieves,” a new project in development from “The Walking Dead” executive producer/writer Robert Kirkman and Chic Eglee (“The Shield,” “Dexter”) based upon the new comic Kirkman created under the same name. “The Walking Dead” executive producer David Alpert and Kirkman reunite with Eglee who will serve as showrunner. All three also serve as executive producers on the new skein. The comic book Thief of Thieves, a new crime caper published by Kirkman’s Skybound imprint at Image Comics, debuted on February 8 and sold out the same day.
“Much like ‘The Walking Dead’ brought horror to television in a unique and groundbreaking way, I feel ‘Thief of Thieves’ can do the same thing for heist stories, showing the humanity of all the characters, including the criminals,” explains Kirkman, who created “The Walking Dead” comic in 2003 and still writes each issue, among many other titles.
“AMC recognizes the limitless ideas generated by the comic industry,” says Kirkman. “Their dedication to bringing ‘The Walking Dead’ to life as a TV show has been key to its success and I’m excited about the potential of ‘Thief of Thieves’ to reach similar levels of success.” According to Kirkman, “Working with AMC has been a tremendously positive experience and I’m looking forward to continuing and strengthening our relationships there and I can’t neglect to mention I’ve been dying to work with Chic again since we wrapped on ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 1.”
Circle of Confusion partner Alpert adds, “It’s incredibly exciting to put the band back together with Robert, Chic and AMC; it just feels great.”
Kirkman developed “Thief of Thieves” based upon his experience in the writer’s room of “The Walking Dead” after observing how the ideas got more creative and thrilling when a group of talented writers were working together to make the show as interesting as possible. The first arc of the comic is being written by Nick Spencer and Shawn Martinbrough is the artist. Kirkman created the story and has a “head writer” in charge of each arc of “Thief of Thieves.” The story focuses on master thief Conrad Paulson who, while attempting to reconcile with his estranged wife and son, vows to walk the straight and narrow, only to discover he’s completely addicted to the thrill of stealing. Now he must feed his addiction by stealing only what has been stolen, as the “Thief of Thieves.”
The deal was brokered by CAA, Katz Golden Rosenman for Kirkman, Behr Abramson for Alpert/Circle of Confusion, Michael Gendler for Eglee and Marci Wiseman, head of business affairs for AMC with Roger Arar at Loeb and Loeb.

Not that they couldn't do a good job with that, but the basic villain-turned-hero premise is kind of tired these days. The Mentalist, Leverage, Breakout Kings, Dexter, White Collar, et al.
tonight's episode of Fringe was fantastic, by far one of the best episodes of the season.
And next week looks really damn good too

speaking of Fringe...it looks like they shot 2 endings for the season finale. One that would serve as a season finale and one that would serve as a series finale.
http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethe...iffhanger.htmlThough the future of "Fringe" still hangs in the balance over at FOX, the writers, like the fans, aren't quite ready to give up the hope of a Season 5. Zap2it spoke with series star Lance Reddick at Warner Bros.' Television Out of the Box exhibit at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills this week, and he filled us in on a little secret: There are two potential endings.
As Joshua Jackson and John Noble told us, the Season 4 finale will answer fans' major questions, giving some closure to the story that we've seen thus far. We'll be satisfied by where a lot of the key relationships wind up -- particularly for Peter, Olivia, and Walter.
There is still a chance that FOX will greenlight a Season 5, and it's looking likely that "Fringe" may get a 13-episode final season to give fans a chance to say goodbye. If this is the case, the "Fringe" team has you covered for one crazy cliffhanger finale, because the cast shot an additional finale ending that will be used if it looks like Season 5 is happening.
"Something happens at the very, very end of the season finale," says Reddick. "It may or may not stay; I don't know. It could open up an entire new season."
If FOX does cancel the series (or put it on hiatus forever), then those additional scenes may hit the cutting room floor so that the season finale will serve well as a series finale. "It could be a cliffhanger, but the thing that's beautiful about the way that the season ends is that it seems to answer almost all the questions that started in Season 1... except for that one story," Reddick says.
Let's hope that FOX picks up Season 5 so that we can see those shocking final moments! We'll leave that series finale for "Fringe" fans in some alternate universe

Source: tvwiseFox is close to renewing Fringe for a fifth and final season, TVWise has learned. For the past couple of months, Fox has been having discussions with Warner Bros. Television about the future of the low rated series. Sources familiar with said discussions tell me that, while there are still a few points that need ironing out, a deal for a fifth and final season of 13 episodes is expected to be reached within the next few weeks.
I’m told that one issue that has been resolved is the length of this fifth and final season; with WB initially pushing for a full season of 22 episodes, while Fox expressed that they would be more comfortable with a “limited episode order” of 7 – 13 episodes, which would get the show close to or past the 100 episode mark required for syndication. Another issue that has been widely reported on is Fox’s licensing fee for the series. I’m told that WB has offered Fox “a substantially lower” fee for the fifth season. As such, insiders tell me that they expect Fox to announce the renewal of Fringe for a fifth and final season of 13 episodes in the coming weeks.
This news will come as a relief to fans of the series, which has had a hard time in the ratings for its last two seasons. The latest episode of the sci-fi series attracted a mere 3 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day. With those numbers, most shows would be looking at certain cancellation, but the amount of money Warner Bros. stands to make from off-network syndication deals is the driving force behind the series’ future. The only real question that still needs to be answered is will we see an announcement before the network’s upfront presentation in May?
