but according to the forum rules this is not allowed

Filesonic: The maximum file size available to d/l for free users is 400MB. You may not offer a single link for a file larger then that unless you also offer split links, using the same host, along side it. If you do not offer this option, your post(s) will be trashed.

Either a FS split set of links or another FREE option. If HF allows a larger file size and it's still available for free users, then that is sufficient. I see what you mean by the rules lingo, I'll make an adjustment.
