Something screwy with ShareNXS and/or Phun

So, this is a little weird...

In all of my screencaps to my posts, i use a combination of Imagevenue and ShareNXS links. I basically hotlink to show larger thumbcaps using ShareNXS, which are then linked to the full screencap via Imagevenue. An example below of the code below (with "[ ]" brackets replaced by "<>" just so you can read the code)

This thumblink code was working last week, but now the screencap doesn't showup. BUT if you take the sharenxs image link, copy & paste it into the browser, the image shows up.

So, what's the deal? I don't think it's a Phun issue but just asking to see what's going on, especially since Capster hasn't been seen in awhile now.

I think imagevenue removed the pic, that's why you get "This image does not exist on this server". But why use imagevenue for full image? If you use sharenxs for thumbnail you may as well use it for full image

Yup i noticed that too, looks like hotlinking is disable.

Hoi CAI, it's not that the imagevenue pic is getting removed - that isn't the problem. It's the ShareNXS screencap not showing up, even though the image exists on their server and, if you copy and paste the ShareNXS image link, it shows up. So it might very well be that ShareNXS has disabled hotlinking as KTM has suggested (which blows... and I wish someone like Capster over at ShareNXS would confirm this).

As why I use imagevenue for the full image instead of ShareNXS, in my experience images hosted on Imagevenue have lasted a lot longer than any imagehoster that I've used... I only used ShareNXS because they can easily hotlink images so I can use them for bigger screencaps.

Can a mod try to contact Capster or someone over at ShareNXS about this? If hotlinking is disabled, then ShareNXS should probably take that feature out from their webpage.

My sig was hosted on sharenxs and it disappeared yesterday. Might be the same thing.

sharenxs temporarly disabled hotlinking, some asian and russian sites were raping the hotlink bandwidth. It's under recoding.

sorry but is correct, we have to figure a way to prevent these other sites from hotlinking the image until then we cannot afford to run the hotlink program, we have reinstalled the sharenxs file transfer program to select individuals ( as a test if you want to participate please pm here) I was going to mention this is my update coming soon.
