I doubt it has anything remotly close to careing to do with it. The big countries couldnt care less about the actual people that lives in these areas or even the culture and religion. If they are there it has to do with money and oil. Its nothing more to it than that.

I'm pretty sure the Yanks get very little oil from Iraq. By all means prove me wrong, but I'm pretty sure that is the case.

No, you're right. We export oil from over 100 sources.

Say what you will about extremists but there is no call for a line like that.

Agreed. I have a couple friends who are Muslim and I know for a fact they would be as outraged as much as anyone else by such egregious behavior.

    Why We Liberated Iraq

    A soliloquy by J3scribe ~

Because there was nothing better to do at the time
Brown & Root needed the dough
    WWE needed the show
And we all needed a reason to feel superior
    Should've just drank more beer
    That'll teach 'em

Let's not forget the 85% of U.S. citizens who are too stupid, self-absorbed or willfully ignorant NEEDED a pound of flesh after 9/11 and Iraq just happened to fit the bill re: your little soliloquy AND it didn't hurt that G.W. already had a hardon for Saddam for making his daddy lose the election and trying to send hit-men after him. Although I will say that Saddam was a huge asshole and he and his family needed to go, it wasn't OUR place to send him off this mortal coil AND he was actually a useful buffer and foil for the Iranian regime.

Yeah true, but if I had added all that it would've sounded more like a diatribe than a prosaic little drunken ditty.

It saddens me when ignorant and close minded people abuse more than a billion muslims
for the fanatacism of a few. I am sure none of them are well versed with history else they
wouldnt have forgotten the millions of jews gassed a few decades ago, or the entire Maya, Aztec,
Inca and other civilisations butchered and killed, generations of palestinians killed and denied
their homeland, native americans put to death till there were no more. Mostly religions teach good stuff but
some of us follow to take a few things out of context and indulge in atrocities against fellow
humans. Such people are to be condemned whoever or wherever they might be.

And yes as naiveas it may sound in the present cynical age it is better to have some faith rather than
none. In times of hurt and pain I call out either for my mother or my God it helps, why I donot know
    but it surely does.
    Thanks, AFX!
