...that I have been a pretty bad example of a forum admin during the last weeks. I know that we (sadly) STILL have major problems with the overall performance of the board. Even tho that at times it is running fast/ok, a lot of times (mostly when the majority is online) it is NOT. I've had to deal with some very annoying personal issues during the last 1-2 months, which made it even more difficult for me to concentrate on the forum issues. But that shouldn't be an excuse, esp. since the issues are around basically since the switch to the v4 of the software.

I really hope I'll be able (somehow, right now too exactly sure how) to turn things around here and give you guys the performance you deserve and just an overall, usable forum, without any interruptions. The solutions/ideas of how to achieve this vary from switching the hosting provider, to bring in another code-expert or to create a brand new installation of the software and import the database to a wonder! I'll be evaluating the various options with the mods and the users in order to achieve our goal.

And I also have to say a big fat THANK YOU to all loyal users of this forum, who are with us since years, or just weeks, who stick around in these "slow" and sometimes probably frustrating times and make the forum what it is. You guys are just awesome and the sole reason why I want to keep this forum alive, I'm sure the internet wouldn't be as PHUN as it is without you guys!

im in no position to give you shit Cayne. Im not happy about the situtation. Yes we have problems even a blind duck can see that, but i have no idea how the system looks how much time it would take away from your hectic normal life or even how much you can do at your end and how much of it the hoster can do. So i simply keep my mouth shut and stick around we have some fantastic members here and its gonna take more than a bunch of bugs to make me go away.

You got it backwards Cayne, we should be thanking you for keeping the 'doors' of our online home open even through shitty situations like what have been happening since the 'upgrade' (). Thank you for the update.....I too really like this place and knowing that you and company are aware of the periods of time when phun does not work, and you are as bothered by that as we are, it makes it easier to have patience while the causes are identified and corrected.

Again, thanks for Phun and all the work you and the rest of the crew does to both continue and improve this outstanding site.

I am a member of a very large forum whose performance really bites since they last updated their site.
That being said, the performance issues here are minor compared to them.

The members and mods here are the reason this forum rocks!
