Default Mod busywork? A solution (maybe)!

With respect to the Celeb Forum, wouldn't a lot of the mod busywork go away if an OP had the power to change his thread title indefinitely (or for a longer period of time) and if the OP was made responsible for fixing the title when there are adds. You could say, don't start a thread with shit quality or a handful of pics unless you are also willing to 'moderate' the thread as better and more abundant pics turn up. Later posters could PM the OP rather than clog up the Forum Issues thread. Forum Issues would be a last resort when the OP doesn't do his job.

As a user, I would like to know when there are adds in threads I've already visited.

P.S. If this is a technical impossibility, keeping fighting the good fight and I appreciate your bringing order to chaos.

No, then it's up to OP that the thread stays good. If i find adds to a thread then i won't PM the OP, now i don't ask in forum issues for that.

Not saying anyone would be obligated to PM the OP, just as no one is obligated now to request a title change in the forum issues thread.

But for those people who want their adds reflected in the thread title, I'm saying OP should be the first person they bug, rather than bugging the mods.

Ideally, an OP who gives a shit will keep an eye on the thread and make appropriate changes without being asked.

we do like "updated" titles (and in a few ways "fixed", too - filehost-tags, spelling, blanks between names etc.), not only for everyone`s convenience.
and we`re already fixing quite a lot of stuff without any reporting - in all sections.

of course we do appreciate every help by reporting in the issue-thread - and we try to react as 2on the fly" as possible. it`s just some times that other, probably more serious issues need to be fixed and we not always can work on reports "in time".

i for one think some "permitted help" (allowing them to edit the titles of their threads for a longer period of time) by OP´s can`t hurt.

we`ll see what the other mods think - technically it`s possible to extend the ability to edit thread-titles for the OPs.

    we keep you informed.

ps.: i see some kind of competiton like "who`s the one to start a thread with new pics" in a few sections here - sometimes i`d like to see new pics a bit later, but with a more complete shooting... just my view
