Apologies for not contributing much to the CB lately. I was sick of working with photo's from other photographers, and bored with it. I decided it was time I started taking my own pics and editing them... I have found it much more rewarding... And I'm having a blast doing it...

I could have posted these in the AM model threads.....but frankly I know those who visit here will truly appreciate, respect, and I'm hoping critique, what I and anyone else has done...... Please post any you have... Per the CB rules... Must be your own work......

From Wikipedia... I think this is a good definition....

A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.

Here are a few of a shoot I did recently with a goth model (Taylor) I met on a modeling web site.... She was really cool... And I hope to work with her again...

Simply marvelous. She obviously likes to express herself through her eyes with only subtle changes in facial expression. However she was feeling at the time, you captured the moment exquisitely. Very nice work. If you get the chance to work with her again I'd be eager to see you capture a playful or impish side of her. She is truly lovely, I bet the result would be equally as wonderful as those you've presented above. Major props bro.

I agree... To find the playish side of her would be awesome......I had a hard time getting her to show it.......She has a great smile.....But is a bit ashamed of her teeth..Maybe that is the difference between a pro and me......She is willing to work w/ me more....and almost everyone that looked at the pics... Said it would be nice to see her smile some more.
