Rihanna - Out for dinner in Santa Monica 11/11/17

She's losing weight again. She got a lot of shit on Twitter from fitness-minded women. No doubt that has something to do with it.

 

Doesn't look like she's lost any to me. Also RiRi's not the kind to give a shit about what some random jealous people say on Twitter. Overwhelming majority on her social media are loving Thiccanna.

 

C'mon dood, are you 15? Women always care what other women think. Other women are who women are trying to impress, not men.

 

There's caring what people think, then there's making big changes to your lifestyle and image over some comments that you've seen on her Twitter. She's a 29 year old woman, not a 13 year old child. Anyone that's followed her for long enough knows she's not some meek, frail-minded woman.

 

I never suggested she was, but body image is important. I don't care what her mindset is, the world of entertainment and fashion she moves in is more superficial than any other corporate atmosphere. Image is everything, especially $$$. They pay lip service to a few heavyset models but those women don't get the cherry endorsements and large promotional contracts. So don't be too quick to discount the comments of other women who have a large social media following themselves. Rihanna may not care about the comments but the people who control the purse strings do, and their influence is manifest.

 

She's a bigger star than any of them and has enough money to never need another endorsement from anyone. In fact her most lucrative product endorsement was her recent makeup line that sold like gangbusters while she was in thick mode.

I expected her to get back to closer to her old weight eventually, but not due to any pressure, just her usual lifestyle. Hard to say which I prefer.

This thread clearly illustrates the Hollywood-derived cultural myths and misconceptions that "fit = thin," "thin = fit," or "anything other than 3% body fat = fat." Sad.

 

She looks her best with some extra pounds on her. Fat distributes amazingly well on her body.

Unfortunately going back to her old weight is probably inevitable, though.

 

Well the facts don't seem to match up with your idea of common sense. Not that she was ever actually fat.

 

She definitely thickened up. I preferred her lean, but whatever.
