    I'm terribly disappointed that the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has come to this. Pop music used to be anathema here.

    Not all women especially actresses stay thicker as they get older. I've seen some women get really into dieting/working out and actually get thinner/more muscular. To each their own though, we all have our personal preferences.

    Jazz is kind of dead, man lol. Long dead actually. I think they probably were glad to have a big name like Katy Perry perform there...draws more paying fans and other performers.

    Have you ever been to New Orleans? That's like claiming the blues is dead in Chicago. You are obviously an outlander. Jazz is woven into the fabric of New Orleans, same as gumbo, second lining, beignets, "show us your tits", or the St. Charles streetcar.

    lol I have been to New Orleans a few times. Jazz used to be popular all over the world and played on the radio - that's not the case anymore. I know you're obviously from a different generation than I am, but trust me when I tell you - Jazz is not at all popular anymore with people 35 y/o and younger. It's not even a top 5 music genre in terms of views/listens/airplay/etc. I never claimed Jazz was dead in New Orleans...New Orleans is a bit of a bubble due to it's unique history. Same for blues, it's dead too. Both these genres have been combined into modern r&b and hip hop, which are two of the most popular genres for the last 10+ years.
