banned filehosts - never ending story. updated if needed

What will happen with posts already posted with those hosts?
If they are deleted check member jdoe101 his posts.

 

Probably a bit much to go back and delete every thread, so it's banned from now-on, and any existing threads that pop up onto page 1 for whatever reason will be trashed. The member has been asked to stop using the post, so he knows the consequences if he ignores the warning.

Can I just ask is it because of the popups or another reason? Because I actually own the host, but I dont wanna piss you guys off here.

 

The giant pop-up was probably what drew the complaints, there was the same problem with imagepal as well when that got banned. There were also some people saying it was slow, but mainly the pop-up.

 

Cool, I will try to avoid all popups from now.

 

A good host is imagehaven.

most of them do have some advantages when registering (for free) - file-management, zip-upload etc.

 

btw...

you could do all of us - members, guests, mods, admin (maybe you´ve noticed that Cayne is so nice to feature a celeb-forum-thread on the frontpage every second day) and of course yourself - a big favor.


stop experimenting with useless imagehosts and annoying the visitors of your threads with annoying pop-ups/-unders, mass-ads etc.
it´s simply a waste of effort and time.

and: there is no business-connection between any of the recommended imagehosts and phun.
it´s just about our long-term experiences with imagehosts regarding reliability, reasonable/tolerable ammount of ads, quality of thumbs, speed etc.

 

Will uppix be added to unwanted hosts? It is extreme slow for some days.

 

The member who uses Uppix has been working on the problem and will get back to me, so won't be adding it at this stage. It was a good host initially, so we're happy to give it time and hopefully see it back to what it was.

 

Oke but he keeps posting them with the slow host and now when i see his name as threadstarter i don't even look in the thread. Maybe he can use an other host in the mean time.
