Wow she really looks mildly amused..

 

I'm not good at goodbyes, and last night was really a Fleabag farewell as this is the final time it will be performed in the UK.
If you haven't seen Fleabag this won't mean a lot to you, but if you've seen the Television Fleabag here goes.

This is basically the same one Woman show that I saw at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013, it covers the material seen in S1.

So no Hot Priest or Fox.

The difference between 2013 and last night, it really draws you into Flea's World, its a One person show
and she's everybody, Boo, her Sister, her Dad, Step Mother to be and her Obxnious brother in law.

The brilliance of it is if she'd never seen anything about Fleabag, you'd leave feeling you knew her, it is darker and the Boo revelation
(and talking about her Mother) really gets to you, but its a sign of good writing.

When one minute you're crying with emotion, the next minute you're crying with laughter.

PWB is amazing, she sits on a tall chair and spills, she has so much energy.

But its also the moments when she's just sitting there and her voice lowers as she tells Flea's story.

The SFX are amazing and you are drawn in.

It's very funny, it's also very sad, it's emotionally full-on and it's also really adult from the first few lines.

Wyndham's Theatre is not big in Modern term terms, its 759 seater Victorian Theatre (Irony is I work just around the corner
from it) we were in the Stalls, (there's the Royal Circle and the Gods) I've seen other plays there and I love that theatre.

Taylor Swift had seen it at the beginning of the month (she had a box) Lin-Manuel Miranda was in the Stalls and apparently seeing
it for the second time.

Phoebe is an amazing storyteller, which makes it all the sadder as this is the final time, we'll see Flea.

It's going to be repeated a few more times in Cinema's in the UK and Ireland between now and December if you get a chance
to see it, do it!!!! There's one last stage performance in LA.

Did we get to see PWB? we saw her signing in the distance at the side of the Theatre eventually but by then the crowds and the Security.


My programme
At the end of the performance its a bit like the end of S2, she walks away and looks back.

That really got to me.

She came back and was joined by the Production team and a banner with the names on it.

But I'll leave her with some very happy memories of her.

Next Friday day off work, I'll be in the pub at 10am to see the beginning of the Rugby World Cup on the Big Screen, they're serving Full English Breakfasts!

Then in the evening I'm going to France for the weekend.

She's had a Topless pic from her book out there for years.

* My claim to Fame: I was standing at an ATM in Argyll Street in Central London, there was another tall Woman just ahead of me.
I could only see the back of her head.
She got her money and looked at me and I looked at her, it was Alexa (she was doing a signing for her book at Liberty's).
I got my money and looked at her walking away, she turned and looked at me.
Sadly she kept walking, but i definitely would.
