I want a McFlurry

Fast food is history for me.....can no longer consume their food without becoming ill due to celiac disease and problematic type 2 diabetes, all of which require very strict diet which disallows virtually all fast food restaurants. No more batter dipped, deep fried chicken, shrimp, or scallops (favorite past dishes), wheat, barley or rye products including any food with a high Glycemic Index (no potatoes, minimal rice, and minimal grain flours). Oh, did I also mention my five cardio-vascular surgeries? That is the third restrictive diet I must blend into the preceding. I blame the post WWII food industry coerced by the need 1) to provide high preservative and processed food to our troops and the need for fast and convenient foods due to the social change of many women who have and continue to enter the work force. The time and effort to provide meals by the cooking of unprocessed food products (produce veggies, etc. i.e. the old fashion way) was a strain on the working mother/wife. OK, I am off my soapbox....I have a lot more to say, but I am not sure anybody wants to hear it. If you do, let me know and I will, using the terms of the day, let them leak.....

The irony is people pay a lot of money for pre-processed food when you could buy vegetables for a quarter
of the price, but it needs to be prepared. Worse too if you constantly pay over the odds for take out/delivered food
the mark up's are huge, I'm guilty of it, but the money we could save, if we could only cook from fresh!

The second irony, the British WWII diet was the healthiest in history!

I will survive going to McD and if someone is dying for it i can play along but its really in the lower tier of food places i would go to. Part of it is that the McD in my Town is really bad. I have worked there for a few months and it isnt good...

 

Unlike the McD of yesteryear quality varies a lot and some McDs are just complete shite

 

On McD, loved their Banana Milkshakes, then they go and stop selling them.

Really enjoyed "Last Christmas" last night (even if it's weird to see where you.. walk to work,
the street where you work & where you go for lunch in the background locations).

It quite drew me in, so if you don't want to wait till next Christmas, see it now, recommended.

Meanwhile
Today's comfort pic, Saorise has joined Starfleet, but I'm not complaining.

Whoever is advising her (and hopefully it's her leading the way) Saorise got it so right with the "Little Women" & Golden Globes"
presentations, outfits that get the column/magazine front pages & site hits and as above, when others go for evening wear she
went for figure-hugging smart.
