I will know more tomorrow. They gave me a new job and new boss that starts tomorrow. First day with new boss, she gets to go to a conference in Montreal, I get to sit at my desk in the office.

If they handle this new job for me like everything else they have ever done to me, then I don't get the pay of the new job, just the title and I have to wait for my salary to adjust over the next 2-3 years to match what they say the market is because they aren't allowed to give me more than a 4-5% increase at one time. (what crap) I make $44,000 USD per year in my current position and that is after 3 raises over 2 years. (they can only give 1 per year, but one was a competitive balance raise) I just reached the minimum for my pay zone which was 1 step up from my previous zone. They just gave me a new job which is 2 pay zones higher and is supposed to start as $60,000 per year. I haven't applied for my last 2 jobs, they reorganized each time and told me I was too good for what I was doing and wasting my talents so take this new job or take a box and empty your desk. I will be either really happy tomorrow, as job #2 will be gone and I will just do web design from home for extra cash, or really mad and make job #2, job#1.

My skills aren't that good...
I'd hate to sound like a jerk, but I don't like to code for other people, I code when I get an idea, then the idea turns out to suck, and I close the editor.

 

I understand that, I have been working on the same web page for almost a year now. Everytime I show it to somebody, they find something else for me to "improve". Due to this, it has never been released for public viewing. Personally, I think he is just an anal retentive that is pissed that he can't do it himself and doesn't want me to succeed. That being said, I just got new job due to my work, and him well he is looking for a job thanks to the previous mentioned reorg.

 

Sounds pretty bad...

same old shit for the most part, taking it easy again today tying up some loose ends, just went out over lunch and bought transformers for my wife

 

Haven't seen Transformers yet. I'm sure the wife will have it before long if it's out on dvd.

 

yea, it came out today and i was told to go pick it up got to do what they say to stay out of trouble

 

LOL I hear ya. We don't have time to watch movies during the week anyway - that's a Sunday afternoon thing when I'm on thr golf course.
