No harsh regards or intended offense, but this little inking in my mind has come to have grown more expanse the more I see you participate, the more you post, the more you let youself be known.

It has been awhile since I have seen you trawl the forums. Been busy?

 

In any case, I seem to have irked you in a way that was not my intention, so I'll just leave it be.



Have a hottie or two:

 

Been super busy from a post-reorganization in my company. Work of 5 people now be handled by 2 (i'm one of them). Eventually, when the budget is approved, I will get a raise to go along with the extra responsibilities. (+$15000 per year) which means, as soon as the budget is approved, I will probably be cut. As it is, lost my pt job last month as the company went under, so now I have issues paying normal bills.

Then had my laptop stolen and have been arguing with insurance company that I needed my $2400 laptop replaced, they are trying to tell me it was only worth less than my deductible. I called BS and dug up all my reciepts and told them to find me a pc that had what i had for less than the deductible, and I would buy it.

Got a new system now and trying to get back to a normal life. No telling when that will happen, but having fun in Tampa so far this week, hop a plane to Providence in the AM and stay there til Sat. Then I fly back home to my typical misery.

So all in all, not much.

 

I see alot there, thought it good, now I see it might turn sour down the stretch for you. Well, at least you can handle the curvebals that life throws us with such a seemingly-undisturbed demeanor, though I can't imagine that this pisses you off to no end when you collectively think and accumulate it in your mind.

 

nothin to terrible. life ain't as bad for me as for the 3 people cut out of a job, and I have insurance that those who stole my laptop must have needed more, and then phun can always lift the spirits.

So why bitch and whine too much? Just wanna get back in the flow.

they just didn't hit a trigger point. came close with the you should be making this much, but we can't pay you that statement. good news is, if I wait until march, they are required to give me at least a lump sum to make my annual match what it's supposed to be. so if I can hang on til march, $15,000 check which should bring me up to date on everything I may miss.

 

Got any prospects for a new career venture?

 

Short version - No.
Long version - I am too specialized. if I leave my company, to anything other than a competitor, I loose all my licenses and certifications. Competitors can't contact me due to FINRA laws and my no compete clause.

I have no college degree as I hate paying to sit in a classroom and listen to someone lecture when I have been a part of proving that the only way adults learn is through what we call Performance Learning. Since I am no longer a young punk that can easily be manipulated by the words of professors, I have a hard time subjecting myself to that style of education.

So - current choices:
1. I can quickly get a job at a fast food restraunt (won't pay the bills)
2. Contract work, but I don't like being a "salesperson"
3. Stay where I am

I've been trying to get in with a sports team as anything admin, hr, scouting, even a retail manager, but they all want you to intern for free first and that doesn't pay the bills.

 

damn LB you seem rather stuck with what options is available to you. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

 

if i could relocate, things would be better. housing market being what it is, there is no way I can sell my house and move to a better location. time will change things, so no real worries. appreciate it though. as I've told you before azz, if you ever need anything for your site, let me know and I'll do what I can. Work is kind of an escape mechanism for me, which is better than drugs or to much alcohol.
