    I never realised how awkward it is to take a photo of oneself. I don't have a smartphone. I tried in a mirror, but the flash blasted it, and after turning the flash off it lengthened the exposure to the extent that my camera shake ruined the pic.
    So I reverted to simply holding the camera at arms length and hoping.
