INSTA Kate Beckinsale - "Friend of Dorothy"?

Kate posted a couple of interesting photos to Instagram lately.





First pic is her stood in front of a picture of Judy Garland as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. As well as Garland being a gay icon, "a friend of Dorothy" is slightly old-fashioned UK slang for someone being LGBT+.

Second pic is a bit closer in and she's holding up her hand, with her ring finger, middle finger, and index finger emphasised; the colours of the nail polish are the colours of the pansexual pride flag.

Good on her if this is her subtle way of coming out.

 

Well have to see how long Gabi hangs around on her IG. They seem inseparable for just someone who she worked on a film wirh

 

Yeah, especially if you look at Gabs' instagram too.

Sure, maybe Kate is just particularly good content for your insta if you're hanging out as a friend - but Gabrielle is probably on good terms with tons of people in the film industry who'll get you lots of instagram clicks, and just went on holiday with Kate and Lily Mo, and she posts lots of shots of herself being very affectionate with Kate.

 

She has always seems to have special best friends who are women. I always assumed it was common knowledge.

 

I didn't know this. I thought it was original slang made up for the film Clueless.
That was the first (and only) time I've ever heard it.

 

Doesn't seem impossible that she's polyamorous too - she seems to like hanging out with Nina Kate too and that seems to have overlapped with her entanglement with Gabrielle.

It's quite old-fashioned - one of those bits of slang which rather faded away once people felt more able to just say directly what their sexuality is.

 

Plus there is her favorite quote of " preferring to eat pussy over sushi". I think she is bi or at least ok with an occasional female hookup.

 

I forget what site it was or I would post it, but I remember a site use to have a list of celebs and use codes like fod to tell their gossip like who was gay, had aids, etc. I remember according to them Tom Cruise was gay and so was Gillian Anderson and Jesdica Biel.

 

Gillian Anderson's out as bi, she's talked about being in relationships with women in the past.

Gill has supposedly been dippin in and out since the late 90's but seems to been more into lately as its better for her career. KBecs had that suss time when she again hung out oddly with a young Trachtenberg

 

Ah, looks like a vampire got to Buffy's sister after all... Checking back that'd have been when Kate was still married to Len Wiseman but the rumour on that is that it was over for a while at that point, and they were just making a show of staying together for the sake of their daughter.

Kate blayed her when she was like 16-18 and said she got it made because it was her first gig and how hot she was. her words not mine.
