FWIW, I did not vote as my choices were between giant douches and turd sandwiches, not doing that anymore.

 

I remember hearing someone once say that if things like weed and cocaine had originated from and was sold predominantly by well-off white people, not only would it be legal but you'd have a weed and coke store every few blocks lol. Same with if the Phillip Morris family AKA tobacco had been a bunch of poorer black people from Mississippi (Chris Rock said this in more explicit terms my pasty looking self won't use here), tobacco would be illegal instantly. Always look into who will benefit $ and you'll see why something isn't being as fought as it once was, along with changing societal opinions of course. We're a long way (thankfully) from the reefer madness days, and I think a lot of people see all that's out there in terms of substances and then see marijuana and wonder why the hell that is treated just as harshly as opioids for example, which is killing people at an epidemic rate in this country (I lost a close friend a few years back myself).
