    The 1080 is the primary image size presented by Instagram and it's what most sites you can save Instagram images off of will extract but there are ways to dig into the code of the page or something and save a 1440 version (I don't know how)

    If I had to guess, go on the post, right click, select 'Inspect (Q)' or Inspect Element, use the element picker and click on the image, should give you a series of drop down 'code' (I guess), keep going until you get the source link for the image

    That's how I do it. I don't know if that gives you the highest quality image

    I use the Page Info tool (Ctrl + I shortcut) in Firefox and look for the image under Media tab.
