    I like all those fun pastas like spirals and bowties and the ones that are fun shapes. They're way better than the boring tube-shaped ones like elbows or rigatoni. But my favorite is ravioli. I like alfredo sauce but I don't usually eat it because of the high fat content and I don't have a gall bladder to process a lot of it.

    That said, I'm Italian and I don't eat pasta much at all; maybe once a month I'll make it. I'm not really a big fan of marinara or Italian tomato sauce. If I make pasta I use salsa, hot sauce, Carolina-style mustard BBQ sauce, or Indian curry or tikka masala sauce on my pasta. I find those sauces to be way more interesting than plain old tomato sauce. In the fall Aldi had pumpkin pasta sauce that was quite tasty.
