    Just Curious, but have you ever given someone a 1 or 2 year ban, seems like an odd amount cause if you did something to warrent that it might as well be permanent

    I've only ever perma-banned someone once, but I had a change of heart and reduced it to 2 years. Normally if it's a spammer I give 2-3 months. Your point is valid, but if we do give a 1-2 year ban it indicates we want rid of the person but if they ever do return, we'll have probably forgotten about them by the time they do come back. It's like giving someone parole when they hit 80, you're fucked but there's a bit of light at the end of the tunnel :D
