I don't envy your age; been there, done that - and in a day and age that was less expensive from a number of points of view. AIDS wasn't an issue, gas was cheep, the drinking age was 18, cigarettes were $.75 a pack, terrorism was a term associated with Ireland, there was no internet - which means there was no identity theft - there were no cell phones, so people couldn't interrupt you in the middle of whatever you were doing... All in all, life was far less intrusive. I like modern technology, but if you ask me whether or not it has improved the quality of life, I'd have to say no.

And I have no problem being 25 yrs older than you.

You got a fair point there. I know I probably couldn't live without the internet and a mobile phone and shit like that now.

 

I just like the security of having a phone. Say I'm coming home from work 4am in the fucking morning and my car breaks down. There great for emergencies and shit but yeah we could live without but it would be hard for a lot of people to adjust.

I personally love the internet but I love knowledge. For all the benefits the internet has given us it has been used for more bad then good.

But yeah I love the fact I can talk to some old fart half way around the world.

Ah good so you have seen it. I've got a good mate, same age as me who hasn't ever seen The Goonies and up till about a month ago hadn't even heard of it.

It's a fucking epic movie.

 

It's been some time since I last watched it. Don't remember much of it.

Btw I've watched the first five eps of Summer Heights. Fucking ace
G is a bit annoying though, Jonah's the funniest

 

Yeah it's a fucking awesome show, Jonah is by far the funniest. He did a series before Summer Heights High by the name of 'We Can Be Heroes' where he did about 6 or 7 characters, very funny indeed.

About an hour into Shaun of The Dead, love this film.
