    It's probably not the best console available now, but it is the most important video game system since the original Atari. In 5 years, that'll be pretty obvious (even if Xbox 360 and/or PS3 wind up with better games, the importance Wii put on things other than graphics will be remembered as revolutionary).

    i dont like my cell phone and the ipod touch is cool but i regret spending the money on it, but my 360 has provided me with more than enough entertainment for the 400 dollar price tag or whatever it was

    The takeaway might be anything lazy, but it's a good reminder that even the Atari 2600 had more than just a joystick (the paddle for Breakout and so forth).

    Interface is hugely important to games, and Wii is a stunning example of just how important it is. If you hate the moving around, at least recognize that a FPS using a better duck-hunt gun or a better paddle or a trackball or whatever could be really cool, and in all likelihood moving away from a Dual-Shock controller is the best thing video games could do as far as being more fun for more people.

    yeah its gotta go somewhere, and judging by the response the wii has got that may be where, but it still doesnt appeal to me, atleast not what i've seen so far. I do think it will be a while though until motion sensing replaces the good ole controller

    We use to play Goldeneye all the time, then Perfect Dark came out and changed everything. That game is the shit.
