The following is a true story!!

When I was a yout.....my Mother made me go to church every weekend. Long story short, I progressed "through the ranks" (no I wasn't cornholed by a priest!!) and became an alter boy around the time of the big confirmation.
The Archbishop of the Diocese came up from Portland to preside over the soiree'.

He was doing his thing, speaking in Latin whilst we all nealt at the alter. Part of the deal involved him putting the sign of the cross on our foreheads with some strange substance. I swear to God this is true......almost the instant he did his thing, and placed that stuff on my forehead in the sign of the cross, I got the most severe/first headache I'd ever had! :shock: LOL What does that say about me? Should I have been named Damien? LOL

 

Never again without a forklift and a Mexican to handle the heavy lifting.

We use em at home to burn, I fire the air compressor up and take out the bolts and then where there out I knock off all the bits of wood and when it's all separated my dad cuts it all down and I stack it in a pile. Burns fucking well too.

WTF difference does it make anyway my friend? When you get to the age where you have the opportunity to make a difference, your home life as a child has bearing on nothing.

Frankly, if there is a god, I somehow doubt he's all that big on religion. If God wanted worshippers, He would have worshippers! Make no mistake about it.

 

The way I look at it is why follow one religion when you can follow the good parts of all the religions. Each religion has there good parts and bad parts. What pisses me off is people who force their religion and beliefs upon you and try to brainwash you into following it too.

Yeah, that shit makes great tinder. I've built a bonfire or two using pallets as fuel in my day. I've also used pallet wood as kindling in wood burning stoves. Paleets are quite good for fire.

Pretty much all you need to know to get by in the world you learned in kindergarden. Don't be mean to people; learn to share your stuff; be nice to your friends and family; protect the ones you love - you know, the basics. It's really as simple as that.

I couldn't agree more. Too many bad things happen to too many good people.

 

Religion and politics are flipsides of the same coin. They are institutions used to control the masses, or at least a way to get them to rally around a common idea, otherwise we'd revert to a tribal society. Small groups or clans at constant odds with one another. Religion and politics makes it possible to have enormous groups or clans to be at odds with one another. Enter patriotism - literally a love for the fatherland. I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong, I'm just saying that's how it is.
