Yeah it's really bad down here, probably not quite as bad as the USA but they banned the singing of 'ba ba black sheep' because it was deemed 'racist' I'm sorry but if you are infact black your black and if your white your white nothing you can do about it it's the truth. I see racism as deeming another persons race lesser than your race, not calling someone black because they are infact black.

 

Today's society is too concerned about making children too aware of there feelings. What ever happened to "ah fuck I lost ah well" not "MUUUUUUUUUUM I LOST *insert tears here and temper tantrum*"

 

I'm 38 my friend, and even in my earliest memories of church/Sunday school, I have no recollection of ever buying into it. There was never a time when I was excited about having to go to either. That's fantastic about your Grandfather, and Father. I'm a firm believer in live, and let live as long as it doesn't infringe upon my home. You do what you want, and I'll do the same.
I'm just very troubled with the way the country is heading, and in my mind it makes no difference who wins, we're going to be in a world of shit come November.

 

My parents went to Sunday school but they never forced me to go, they always gave me a choice on what I wanted to do. But they taught me all the good lessons from Sunday school that they learned.

 

I'm 20 and it wouldn't suprise me if the world ends before I finish living my life. The road our planet is heading down if we don't band together and pursue the common goal of fixing this planet were fucked.

 

Never mind the fact that the song has nothing to do with race. That's completely unimportant! Just another case of the jackass politically correct pols covering their ass, and adding more legislation/govt. That's what it's all about.

 

There are too many 'do gooders' in this world that have no idea what they are talking about.

 

You'll live a long life ant man, but if this "one world" globalization shit keeps up, you may be living it like some poor Chinese laborer! But that would be benificial to the common good "comrade".

I wouldn't be surprised if in the next 20 years there is another World War. There is just so much anger in the world today. So often I see on the news people getting the shit kicked out of them on the streets literally for no reason at all.

At the moment in my honest opinion, people and governments are too scared to say what they really think mainly people in general. I respect other peoples religion but when you come to a free country and try to get laws changed to suit how you used to from the country you came from and wont even speak the native language of the country you live in. Now to me that's fucked.

 

This hasn't been a downer chat on my end, while it has been about downer subjects it always is good to vent and get it out.

That shit doesn't happen to people who have given themselves over to Jesus Christ, or haven't you heard?? It only happens to the evil fuckers who steadfastly refuse to believe. Or that's how the Big Lie is supposed to work anyway.

Salty has painted a bleaker picture than reality would have it my friend, but no doubt there has been a rash of monumentally stupid acts perpetrated in the name of political correctness over the past decade or so. But frankly, that's what we get for placing idiots in elected office. I say shame on the general public for being so ignorant and idealistic for trusting people who will say anything to get elected.

I myself no longer vote because it gives me the right to complain about the assholes in office without feeling like a fuckhead for voting for them into office in the first place. That, and also because I haven't seen a politician worth voting for for a long time. I'm not going to vote simply because it's my priveledge to do so. Politicians don't keep their campaign promises anyway because most of their rhetoric is impossible to fulfill, or too farfetched to be considered achievable.

Our governments in the western world don't have as much influence on the daily lives of people as one might think. They are usually playing catch up to market forces beyond their control or world events they couldn't possibly prevent or foresee. A good politician is someone who can act with poise and common sense in an emergency, not some doofus who promises a chicken in every pot and no new taxes. it doesn't work that way and never has.

 

Unfortunately over here its compulsory to vote.

True, but the fact that you can tell that to a stranger 18,000 miles away in real time without hesitation means their is a real hope for communication between those that don't see eye to eye on all things. All it takes is one common interest to get a dialogue started. the rest can sort itself out from there.

 

You have to vote?? Do you get a "none of the above" type choice on the ballot?

 

I see how bad the generation I'm growing up with us, I have almost no hope for them let alone the generation after mine.

 

You can donkey vote and just write whatever you want. Which makes it null and void.

You make a good point about there not being a global war because of the global economy. I didn't even think of that. I'm just glad George Bush will be out of your government soon. He has been nothing but trouble for just bout the whole world.
