I've seen people do stupid shit like that on craps but never on Roulette. Not many high rollers play Roulette and the casino I normally go to - just craps and black-jack. There's a seperate high dollar room as they call it but seldomly go in there. Every now and then I will play $5 slots in there but that's it. I'll put $100 in a slot in spin on 1 coin only all the way down - if it hits great, if not - I go somewhere else.

 

I see people all the time trying to count cards, it's actually rather pathetic actually because it is plainly obvious they just sit there and stare at the cards and rarely blink and if you say anything it interrupts there concentration and they get pissed off.

I'm one of those dealers where if your a decent patron to me, I'll go out of my way to make sure you have a good time and I'll have a joke or two with you and a few laughs but if your an asshole watch out. I'll do everything to piss you off for my own amusement.

I've played slot machines once, and it just didn't do anything for me so I have never played them again.

Oh yeah, I can't take tips at work. Actually against the law and I'll lose my job if I do.

no shit? They split all the tips where I go. All dealers tips from every table goes in one pot and they seperate it evenly. Same goes for waitresses and bar tenders.

 

Yeah it's strange but tipping isn't big over in Australia.

 

I always tip a dollar for every drink I consume - which is a lot while in the casino. And if I hit something big on the table, I'll give the dealer a portion of it, just depends on how much I've got left and how big the hit is.

 

Still makes me laugh when people come to my table when I'm dealing Roulette and the last six number have been red so they assume the next one will be black because of 'so many reds in a row'. It's still a 49%/49% chance of being either red or black.

 

I had a mate at work tell me about how the dealers over in Vegas expect tips and will make it known that they want a tip.

 

yeah, there's no science to it that I know of - if so I would bet much more.

 

Not sure, I never played any table games while I was out there. Only been twice. We basicly went from casino to casino and bet only 20 - 25 bucks while in there, more of a sight seeing trip than a gamblimg trip. There's a hell of a lot to do out there besides gamble and we tried to do as much as possible in the short time we were there.

 

The drop kicks off the street don't know that. A guy I work with came with the saying to say to them "It's either getting closer to the next black or further away from the last one".

 

See I think Vegas I think pure gambling and that's all that's there to be done.
